Cell and Molecular Biology

The Department of Cell and Molecular Biology ("CMB" or "Cell") is deeply committed to innovative approaches in research and teaching, and these two missions are highly intertwined. We have targeted several areas to develop our research strengths, including, developmental biology, regenerative medicine and neuroscience.

CMB faculty and staff enthusiastically create an environment that fosters learning through both classroom and laboratory experience. Our goal is to provide students with in-depth exposure to the cellular and molecular basis of life and support the application of molecular techniques to medical, technological, and environmental issues. With the successful integration of teaching, research, and community engagement, the department prepares future scientists and medical professionals for the challenges of the ever-changing biomedical field.
