Biography

My research interests focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms controlling the development and function of brain circuits underlying higher cognitive skills, and how disruptions in these mechanisms underlie abnormal brain functions. To this end, we use a multidisciplinary approach that integrates the use of mouse genetics, molecular biology, neuron-specific optogenetic stimulation, and extracellular recordings in vivo in behaving mice.
