Nanosecond Pump/Probe Spectroscopy

  • 10 ns time resolution
  • Tunable excitation wavelength: 1064 nm, 532 nm, and 266 nm, and Optical-Parametric-Oscillator-tunable wavelengths covering the range 420-850 nm.  Fast spectral acquisition.  “Stop-flow" instrumentation for flow-flash experiments

Femtosecond Laser Facilities

  • Ti:Sapphire laser system (oscillator/regenerative amplifier with 43 fs pulses of 1 mJ per pulse at 805 nm wavelength
  • Two Optical Parametric Amplifiers generating powerful laser pulses at 1 kHz repetition rate - Wavelength tunable from 300 nm-1.9 mm.  Pulse energies up to 0.1 mJ per pulse

Femtosecond Transient Absorption Spectrometer (UV/Visible-mid NIR)

  • 30 and 40 fs time resolution
  • Excitation and probe wavelengths tunable from 300-1200 nm and 1350 to 5000 cm-1
  • Background noise < 0.5 mOD per second of accumulation
