CS Professor Jihun Hamm organizes AI outreach program
Dr. Jihun Hamm (Associate Professor, Computer Science) has recently organized (along with Edward Choi) an AI outreach program for Louisiana college students. This was part of the NeurIPS conference, the largest cutting-edge AI conference, which took place in the New Orleans convention center last week with more than 13,000 attendees. The vision for the outreach program was to engage local undergrad/grad students to learn about current advancements of AI, how AI will change the future, and how they can be a part of the change and not bystanders. The program selected and invited ~100 faculty and student participants with full access to the conference and workshops. During the conference, Dr. Hamm had a short interview with the host of the local radio channel about the program and the future of AI.
