Nortek Acoustic Doppler Profiler (ADP)
The Aquadopp Profiler is capable of measuring both speed and direction for up to 128 different layers within the water column. In addition to speed and direction it also measures temperature, pressure, tilt and compass info. The ADP can be mounted on the deep water basin cart.
Nortek Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter (ADV)
The laboratory is equipped with two Nortek Acoustic Doppler Velocimeters. The ADVs are designed to measure rapid, small scale changes in 3D velocity. The ADVs are often used in the teaching flume during class demonstrations and experiments.
CAMSIZER
The CAMSIZER is a digital image processing particle size and shape analysis system. It is capable of accurately measuring particle distributions for grain size between 100 microns and 2 centimeters.
Horiba LA-300
The LA-300 is a laser diffraction particle size distribution analyzer. It is capable of accurately measuring particle distributions between 0.5 - 150 microns.
Accufeed Screwfeeder
The Accufeed Screwfeeder is equipped with a 1.5" stainless steel feed screw. It is capable of accuracies of +/- 1-2%. The Accufeed Screwfeeder is a part of the delta basin's ocean control system.
