Prospective Graduate Students

The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering invites prospective graduate students to write to us regarding Ph.D. opportunities at Tulane. Email us and please provide us with your name, undergraduate institution, GPA, GRE aptitude scores, and research interests.

Interested students are encouraged to apply by completing the free online application.  The deadline for full consideration for Fall admission is January 1 of each year, although applications are reviewed as they are received and typically continue into March.

Your application will require:

  1. Official transcripts from each institution sent to the department.
  2. Three letters of recommendation sent electronically through the online system or sealed and signed paper copies can be sent to the department.
  3. Official Graduate Record Exam (GRE) sent by Educational Testing Services (ETS) to the department. Institution code 6173, department code 1001, chemical engineering.
  4. Official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) sent by Educational Testing Services (ETS) to the department. Institution code 6173, department code 64.
