Class of 2026 Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony
Date: Friday, May 15, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM
Location: Caesars Superdome
Student Arrival: 11:30 AM- Enter via Gate G
Gates Open: 12:00 PM- Event via Gate A, B, or C
Arrival for Graduates
All graduating seniors should arrive in full regalia at Gate G on the Plaza level by 11:30 a.m.
Doors for graduates will open at 11:30 a.m., and security screening will take place before entry. After entering through Gate G, you will:
Check in to receive your walking card
Pick up your beads
Proceed to the ground level at 12:30 pm and be seated with your department
Guest Information
Guests may enter through Gates B and C on the plaza level beginning at 12:00 p.m. ADA entrance will be located at Gate A on the ground level (Poydras side). Please one companion per ADA guest.
No tickets are required for the SSE ceremony
Guests should plan to arrive early to allow time for security screening
Please note: Tickets are required for all graduates and guests at the Unified Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 16 at 5 pm – Information about Unified tickets was already emailed to graduates. 20 ticket limit.

Clear Bag Policy:
The University's Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for SSE & Unified Commencement
Clear totes or bags no larger than 12" x 12" x 6".
Small, non-clear clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 6.5".
Plastic, resealable storage bags no larger than one (1) gallon.
Parking and Transportation
Parking is available at the Caesars Superdome and must be purchased in advance.
Graduates and guests should plan to park in Garages 2, 5, 6, and Champions Garage

Rideshare Dropoff:
Guests arriving via taxi or rideshare drop off should set their destination as the 1500 block of Poydras Street (outside the Superdome on Poydras).

Graduate Hooding and Recognition Ceremony
Date: Thursday, May 14, 2026
Time: 3:00 PM
Location: Devlin Fieldhouse/Fogelman Arena
This ceremony celebrates students who have achieved PhD or master's level degrees in the Schools of Liberal Arts, Science and Engineering, and Medicine - Biomedical Sciences.
Students should arrive in their regalia at 1:00 pm at the Goldring Woldenberg Business Complex. Doors will open for guests at 1:00 pm. Tickets will NOT be required for entry.
Unified Commencement Ceremony
Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026
Time: 5:00 PM
Location: Caesars Superdome
Student Arrival: 3:00 PM
Gates Open: 3:30 PM
The Unified Commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 16, 5:00 p.m. at the Caesars Superdome. At this special milestone ceremony, which will feature an academic procession, keynote speaker Sterling K. Brown, and live jazz, President Michael A. Fitts will officially confer degrees upon all Tulane University degree candidates (undergraduate, graduate, and professional). The Unified Commencement Ceremony lasts approximately 90 minutes. If you are considering dinner plans after the ceremony, we recommend allowing an additional 30 minutes for egress from the venue.
Tickets will be required for attendance at the Unified Commencement in the Caesars Superdome. Instructions for requesting tickets (up to 25 per graduate) will be shared in April via email and the Commencement website.
The University's Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for Unified Commencement and all other school-based diploma and hooding ceremonies. Approved bags are as follows:
· Clear totes or bags no larger than 12" x 12" x 6".
· Small, non-clear clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 6.5".
· Plastic, resealable storage bags no larger than one (1) gallon.
