Graduate Student Leaders in Schools

Graduate student leads will develop and facilitate in-person and virtual activities in STEM for local middle schools. The Center provides undergraduate service learning students to assist with activities and a modest budget for activity supplies.

Through the generosity of our donors we are able to provide stipends for graduate student leaders. Stipends are based on a rate of $200/session. Many graduates run up to 8 sessions per semester, earning a stipend of $1,600. Groups of graduate students are welcome to work together to develop and lead one group activity. Stipend amount will be adjusted depending on the number of students and time commitment from each.

If you are interested in leading an activity but do not have a workshop developed please still apply! We are happy to work with you to create a fun and engaging activity or refine an existing activity/idea.
