Biography

I am a postdoctoral fellow at Tulane University and hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Connecticut. My work centers on understanding drought and flood risks under climate change. During my Ph.D., I developed new approaches for early drought detection and monitoring using vegetation and soil moisture indicators, and I studied winter streamflow dynamics and rain-on-snow events. Previously, during my M.S. at the University of Tehran, I worked on coastal flood modeling and flood resilience and reliability strategies.
