Ph.D. Admissions Information
The Tulane Mathematics Ph.D. program offers full funding (tuition waiver plus stipend) to all admitted students. We welcome applications from students with strong backgrounds in mathematics or related fields.

December 5
for Fall admission.
Application Requirements
A complete application for the Ph.D. program in Mathematics includes the following:
- An undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- At least three letters of recommendation from individuals who can evaluate your academic potential.
- An online application form submitted through the university portal.
- All applicants must demonstrate English proficiency, which can be met through prior education at an English-speaking institution or by submitting a satisfactory TOEFL or IELTS score; more details are available here.
- Optional: You are encouraged to submit any additional materials (CV, research papers, etc.) that may strengthen your application directly to the Director of Graduate Admission.
- The GRE Test is not required for admission to any of our graduate programs.
