Michael Naguib Named A 2025 Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate for Fifth Straight Year

Michael Naguib, a respected professor at Tulane University, has been recognized as a 2025 Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate, one of the most prestigious global honors in academic research. This designation places him among the world’s most influential scholars, whose work ranks in the top 1% of citations in their fields, reflecting significant impact and influence in the broader scientific community. 

In announcing this recognition, Naguib expressed pride in representing Tulane on the list for the fifth consecutive year, underscoring both his sustained research excellence and the continued strength of Tulane’s scholarly community. He highlighted that this achievement is shared with his students, collaborators, and mentors, acknowledging the collective effort and support that drives research breakthroughs. 

The Highly Cited Researchers program is an annual Clarivate initiative that identifies researchers whose publications have received exceptional citation levels over more than a decade. In 2025, thousands of researchers from around the world were selected based on rigorous citation metrics drawn from the Web of Science Core Collection, complemented by additional quantitative and qualitative evaluation.
