Jim Baus is president and owner of Industrial Chemicals Corporation in Puerto Rico, a manufacturer of sulfuric acid and related inorganic chemicals with a focus on municipal and industrial water treatment applications. Prior to that he worked at Fluor Daniel Engineering and Construction serving the island’s pharmaceutical industry.
Jim has over 20 years experience in the design, construction and operation of cost effective and environmentally compliant chemical manufacturing facilities to supply the niche markets prevalent in the region. Ha also has extensive experience in water and wastewater treatment plant operations and has recently begun work on membrane filtration applications in water treatment, including desalination.
Born in San Juan, he received a B.A. in Physics from Tulane University in 1986. Jim is a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Water Works Association and the Water Environment Federation.
Jim and his wife, Heather, have one daughter Savannah, 7.
