The Bernard Villars Baus Chair in Chemistry was established by Louis A. and Julia T. Beecherl through the Bosque Foundation and Robert Aron through the J. Aron Charitable Trust in 1992 for a distinguished professor in Chemistry.

The Herman and George R. Brown Chair in Chemical Engineering was established by the Brown Foundation in 1982 for a distinguished professor in Chemical Engineering.

The Alden J. "Doc" Laborde Chair in Biomedical Engineering was established in 1985 by the Ocean Drilling and Exploration Company (ODECO) in honor of the off-shore drilling pioneer, Doc Laborde for a distinguished professor in Engineering.

The John and Elsie Martinez Biomedical Engineering Chair
The John and Elsie Martinez Biomedical Engineering Chair was established in 2006 to honor John L. Martinez and his wife Elsie. Professor John Martinez served Tulane for over 50 years in many capacities, and Elsie Brupbacher Martinez was an active volunteer for Tulane and Newcomb.

The Evelyn and John G. Phillips Distinguished Chair in Mathematics was established in 1991 by the Bosque Foundation, the Louisiana Land and Exploration Company Foundation and an anonymous donor in honor of John G. Phillips, who was retiring from the Tulane Board of Administrators after many years of service to the university.
