Initial Eligibility Requirements

  • Complete applications will require transcripts; a personal statement indicating background, motivation and interest in the program, and career aspirations; GRE test scores; and three academic and/or professional recommendations.
  • PhD. Applicants: Submit title and abstract of master's thesis, if any.
  • International applicants must submit TOEFL scores unless they have received a degree from an English-speaking institution.
  • Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree to be admitted and are required to submit transcripts of prior work.
  • Information for applicants without a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) can be found in the Student Handbook.
  • Applications for admission in the Fall semester are due January 5 for the Ph.D. degree program, and March 1 for the MS program. Applications for admission in the Spring semester will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
