CHANGE IN PSYCHOLOGY MAJOR EFFECTIVE FALL 2019:
The psychology department adopted a new curriculum for psychology majors effective Fall 2019. The requirements for the major are described in our major handbook (see Major Handbook). You might also find the Psychology Major Checklist helpful: (see Fall 2019 Major Checklist).
Please note: Students who declared their major PRIOR to Fall 2019 have the option of completing the major under the updated requirements described above or completing the requirements at the time that you declared your major (see Fall 2018 Major Checklist). Please schedule a meeting with your major advisor if you would like to discuss how the curriculum changes affect you.

CHANGE IN PSYCHOLOGY AND EARLY CHILDHOOD MAJOR EFFECTIVE FALL 2019:
The psychology department adopted a new curriculum for Psychology and Early Childhood majors. Effective Fall 2019, the requirement to take PSYC 3180 Testing and Measurement will be replaced with a requirement to take PSYC 3130 Experimental Psychology OR PSYC 3220 Research Methods in Child Psychology. Students who have already declared their Psychology and Early Childhood major can choose to "opt in" to this new curriculum by contacting your psychology advisor, and having them email their academic advisor.
Please note that due to the high level of overlap between psychology and neuroscience courses, there is a special curriculum for psychology minors who are neuroscience majors described here.

Students who desire to receive approval for classes taken at other university should first meet with their Academic Advisor to verify that a course is eligible to be considered for transfer credit. Your Academic Advisor will give you a copy of a signed Transfer Course Articulation Request. Complete the form and send it with a complete copy of the syllabus to psych@tulane.edu.
