SCALA 2019 : Scientific Computing Around Louisiana

February 15-16, 2019

Tulane University's Center for Computational Science and the LSU Center for Computation and Technology (CCT) will co-sponsor the tenth Scientific Computing Around Louisiana meeting. The goals are to:

  • highlight cutting-edge topics in scientific computing,
  •  showcase the research at Louisiana institutions and,
  • promote collaborations across the state of Louisiana.

This meeting is open to any faculty, post-doctoral researcher or student from any college in and around Louisiana. The meeting will start Friday at 1:00 p.m. and run through approximately 5 p.m. Saturday. All talks will take place in Stanley Thomas Hall, Room 316 (Building 10 in this map)

Registration

Contributed talks are now being solicited. Registration is FREE, but required.

Submission Deadline

January 28, 2019 (early submissions encouraged).

The scientific program with more meeting information will be posted during the week of February 4.

Lodging

Hotel rooms for the SCALA 2019 attendees are available at two local hotels.  A block of guest rooms is being held until they are all booked. Guest room reservations are to be made by individually calling the hotel and mentioning the SCALA Conference 2019 for possible discounts.

Parking

For those who will need to park at Tulane on Friday, February 15, please request a parking pass on the Registration page.  Parking near Tulane's campus will not be a problem on Saturday.  The hotel is across the street from Tulane's campus.
