STEM teachers are invited to participate in Tulane's teacher professional development workshops this summer! Thanks to the generosity of Shell and The Joe W. and Dorothy Dorsett Brown Foundation, we are offering two 2-day on-campus workshops and one 2-day virtual professional development workshops.
June 13-14: Exploring Coding and Robotics with LEGO Spike Prime Essential - Grades 1-4! (In-Person & Virtual)
Join the Center for K-12 STEM Education team as we learn and play with the LEGO Spike Prime Essential robots! Expand your coding skills as you learn to use the Spike Prime app and program the Spike Prime Essential robots. You will also learn about the free LEGO curriculum available and how to start a FIRST LEGO League team at your school.
June 15: Integrating Programming Language into Your Curriculum -Scratch- Grades 3rd-8th! (In-Person)
Incorporate computer programming into your science, mathematics, or language arts curriculum as you learn Scratch, a block-based coding language, where you will develop engaging projects to take back to your students this fall.
