Declaring a Major or Minor
To declare a major or minor in the School of Science and Engineering, contact the appropriate departmental office.
The Major/Minor Declaration Form requires approval of the Department Chair. When declaring your major, you will receive a Major Advisor to help you plan your major and/or minor requirements. The signed form must be submitted to your Newcomb-Tulane advisor. Students pursuing a double major must fulfill requirements for both majors and complete 18 non-overlapping courses. (Check with your major advisors for any additional restrictions.) Twenty-four credits in the major may not overlap with the minor. No courses counting toward one minor may count toward a second minor. Students must earn a GPA of at least 2.000 in courses counting toward the major or minor.
