Please do not email me a copy of your thesis or dissertation. I will be able to see your completed paper and signatures that you have uploaded to ProQuest.

  • Application for Degree Instructions - To apply you must login and use the Apply to Graduate Application through this portal.  You must be enrolled in order to apply to graduate.

If you do not have the Apply for Degree application on your Gibson portal, you need to submit a Support Form to the Tulane Registrar's office.

When you apply for your degree, the Registrar places an Application for Degree hold on your account.  If for some reason you do not graduate or need to postpone your graduation, please contact the Tulane Registrar's office.

Please note:  You can only apply to graduate for programs in which you are enrolled.  If for some reason, a certificate or other is not displayed as an option for you to select, please contact Janet Morgan in the Dean's Office.

  • Oral Defense Form - Quick link to the Oral Defense form (more information is available on the Completion Guide link above).

Tulane University - Graduate Thesis and Dissertation Digital Repository Policy (Please read the policy carefully)

  • ProQuest - Upload your dissertation or thesis to ProQuest
  • For PhD students earning their PhD - Survey of Earned Doctorates  (only submit to the Survey of Earned Doctorates when you are graduating with your PhD and not your MS degree)

For questions regarding transcripts and diplomas, please contact the Tulane Registrar's Office .

Certificates are not typically printed out and mailed to students.  Currently, if a Certificate program prints out certificates, they are done by the department and not the SSE Dean's Office.

If you have applied to graduate with a certificate and it has been approved and certified, then the certificate will appear on your transcript.
