Prof. Joel T. Mague
Prof. Mague received a B.A. in chemistry from Amherst College in 1961 and his Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from M.I.T. in 1965 under the direction of F. Albert Cotton. He did a postdoctoral study (1965-1966) with Sir Geoffrey Wilkinson at Imperial College, London, and then began his independent career at Tulane in 1966. Since 1992, he has been the Director of the Tulane Crystallography Laboratory. His research interests are in organophosphine/arsine complexes of the platinum metals and in the theory and practice of X-ray crystallography.
