Postdoctoral Fellow
Position Description
A postdoctoral research scientist is sought for a project that will involve the synthesis of metal cluster-based materials in the Straus lab (http://www.danielstraus.com) in the department of Chemistry at Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, USA. Inorganic and/or nanomaterials synthesis experience is required. Familiarity with thin film deposition methods, such as spin coating, is highly desired, as is experience with electronic device fabrication and characterization. Experience with optical spectroscopy would also be advantageous. Proficiency in speaking and in listening comprehension of English is essential for consideration.
The annual salary for this position is $56,484. Health insurance benefits are included. The initial appointment will be for one year and may be renewed subject to mutual agreement. The ideal start date is 1/2/2024 but is negotiable. Review of applications will begin immediately and the position will remain open until filled.

Qualifications
A PhD, or proof that all degree requirements for the PhD have been completed, in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is required.
