Butter thief?

Butterfly specimens are displayed under glass in the Diversity of Life lab on the uptown campus. According to an old wives’ tale, the term butterfly is derived from the belief that the insect stole milk and butter. A more common idea is that the name is based on the yellow or cream colors of many species.
