Course Proposal Procedures

Tulane is using the Course Inventory Management (CIM) system for new and edited course proposals as well for as course inactivation requests.  

Go to https://nextcatalog.tulane.edu/courseadmin/ and click on the light green Propose New Course button to propose a new course. To edit an existing course, find the course via the search feature and click the green “Edit Course” button.

Note: If you do not have access to this this website, submit a Registrar Support form via their website http://registrar.tulane.edu.

You can see which course numbers are already in use by clicking on the Course Numbers in Use button.

You must upload a syllabus that meets the SACS accreditation requirements to the proposal.

Once you fill out the required fields, click the light green Start Workflow button.

Your course will be reviewed by the Registrar’s Office and then will go through a series of approvals by your department and school.
