SSE deadlines for tenure/tenure-track cases^
August 15. Candidate submits information on potential external evaluators to the home department. (Does not apply to third year review cases.)
September 15. Home department submits candidate's CV, 5 selected publications, and the candidate's statement on research. In addition, the department submits the list of external reviewers from whom they have requested letters (including those who may have already declined); any names the candidate chooses to exclude; and four or more recommended names for external letters. (Does not apply to third year review cases.)
October 1. Candidate submits dossier, exclusive of external evaluation letters, to home department.
December 1. Department submits complete dossier, including departmental letter and external evaluation letters, to the dean’s office.
February 1. School P&T committee submits recommendations to the dean on third-year review, promotion to associate professor with tenure, and promotion to full professor cases.
^ For mid-year hires involving a tenure decision, all deadlines are 3 months later.
SSE deadlines for professor of practice cases
October 1. Candidate submits dossier to home department.
December 1. Departments submit complete dossiers, including departmental letter, to the dean's office for promotion to senior professor of practice cases.
February 1. Professor of practice promotion advisory committee submits recommendations to the School P&T committee on promotion to senior professor of practice cases.
April 1. School P&T committee submits recommendations to the dean on promotion to senior professor of practice cases.
April 1. Departments submit recommendations to the dean on professor of practice reappointment cases.
